Switch Document Types with the Change Document Type Command

Continuing with our survey of some of the new user tools available in AM-Meridian 2002, this month we'll discuss the new Change Document Type command.

The Change Document Type command is useful when an existing document needs to be changed from one Meridian type to another. This may be because the business purpose of the document has changed, for example, from a Generic type to a Project type, or when the property set of a different document type better suits the document.

The Change Document Type window will appear, displaying all of the defined document types in the current vault.

If, for some reason, you change your mind about switch document types, you can change the documents back to their original document types and their previous values will be restored.
