and
Save Money!
The clock is ticking! As the new year approaches, AutoManager
WorkFlow is getting near its effective 'end-of-life'. Cyco is
going to great lengths to help you migrate to their new

AM-WorkFlow after 12/31/02:
-
Existing users can receive a substantial credit when migrating
to AM-TeamWork or AM-Meridian
-
Migration costs will increase significantly in 2003
-
New licenses will be 33% more expensive
-
Subscription will no longer be available for new licenses
-

more upgrades from older versions to AM-WorkFlow 6.3
Did you know? There are only a small percentage of companies
on subscription left who have not already migrated to Cyco's

Tip
Switch
Document Types with the Change Document Type Command
Continuing
with our survey of some of
the new user tools available in AM-Meridian 2002, this month
we'll discuss the new Change Document Type command.
The Change
Document Type command is useful when an existing document needs to be
changed from one Meridian type to another. This may be because the
business purpose of the document has changed, for example, from a Generic
type to a Project type, or when the property set of a different document
type better suits the document.
To start the command, first select one or more documents that need
changed. Then, click Document>Change Document Type.

The
Change Document Type command on the Document menu
The Change
Document Type window will appear, displaying all of the defined document
types in the current vault.

The
Change Document Type selection dialog
Select a new document type for the selected documents and
click OK. The effects of the command will be that the
selected documents will be assigned to the chosen document type.
All of the documents' properties will be empty, but may be
edited normally to assign new values. No wizard pages will be
displayed as when new documents are created. The documents' name
and location within the vault will remain unchanged. If your
vault uses a custom Field-Path Relation, it will not be applied
to the changed documents and the documents must be moved
manually if they are now in the wrong locations. If, for some
reason, you change your mind about switch document types, you
can change the documents back to their original document types
and their previous values will be restored. |
