by
Pamela Aloia, Quality Manager
Our Project Delivery Methodology is the guideline by which
we execute our EDM projects at DataCore. In this fifth of
a series of articles describing the entire process, Pamela Aloia, our
Quality Manager, describes the Build Phase of our projects, when we
transform the system design of your IT project into
configurable, executable code. If you are considering
DataCore for an EDM project, we encourage you to click

article.
Previous articles are also available for viewing at the

Upcoming
articles will discuss remaining phases in detail, providing

Tip
Customize
Your Context Menus
One of the easiest ways to customize AM-Meridian without
programming is by changing the commands available on the
Document, Folder, and Vault context menus. These menus display
when you right-click over each of the aforementioned
objects.
Document Context Menu Before Customization
Each user can
customize these menus to provide access to the commands they use most
frequently. To customize the menu selections, start by clicking View|Options to
display the Options dialog. Click the Customize button on the Appearance page
to display the Customize Context Menu dialog.

The Customize Context Menu Dialog
Next, simply click the checkboxes next to the commands for
each menu that you wish to enable or disable. Click OK to
apply your changes.
Some common menu changes to consider include commands that
are not available on the toolbar:
- Reassign Document to this Work Area if you seldom reassign
documents upon discarding or releasing them.
- Draft Print
- Show References and Create References if you often use
AM-Meridian's references.
- Refresh Thumbnail if you have a large amount of imported documents
without thumbnails.
- Remove the Delete command so you don't accidentally delete
documents.

Document Context Menu After Customization
Even after you customize your context menus, all commands are still
available via the pull-down menus if you need them, so customize your context
menus today and save yourself some clicks!
